一、申请途径
1.直接向香港知识产权署提交首次申请;
2.根据巴黎公约在先申请的优先权递交普通申请寻求香港短期专利的保护；
3.PCT 途径。
二、审查形式
形式审查，但申请人如果想确保专利权稳定性，可在授权下证后向专利局提交实质审查请求。
三、保护期限
自在香港特别行政区的申请日起最长8年，需从申请日起第5年缴纳年费。
